We got the first few peas (snow peas) Tuesday evening and a few more yesterday!
The pea plants have been especially happy this year: big, vigorous, lots of blooms. Perhaps because we were able to plant the seeds earlier this year?
At any rate, the snow peas are starting to produce. We should be able to start harvesting a meal-size amount (versus snacky handful) in another day or two. The snap peas are a little slower on the uptake, but those plants are really going nuts. Tons of flowers.
We just hope that all the plants really start producing quickly so we can harvest–and eat–a lot of fresh peas before we go on vacation.
