The solar hot water heater has been up and running for about a week, although I have to say that construction days are starting to blend into one another.
Yesterday it was in the upper 50s–finally!–and partly sunny. Nonetheless, the solar hot water heater reached 192 degrees F by late afternoon. The water got hot enough, then, that the system had to dilute the solar-heated water with enough cold water to make it safe for contact with human skin.
Imagine what it will do in the summer or even on a 30-something winter day with full sun.
