hoping for spring

I was walking across campus yesterday to drop off two books at the library.  I saw twelve robins on one small patch of mostly snow-free lawn.  About 150 feet later, seven robins were on another patch of lawn on the south side of the main library.

If the robins are back because they think spring is coming, maybe there’s hope.

Those robins made my day.
